Our climate is sick and we need to remedy it.  More and more people are facing intense storms, floods, droughts, heat waves, unnatural changes in seasons and other weather extremes in all parts of the United States these days, and you would think with all the images streaming out of Texas, Louisiana, Florida and Georgia and the sheer devastation in the wake of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma more people would be asking, “Is this truly entirely a natural disaster? Is it truly mere coincidence that Houston has seen three 1-in-500 year flooding events in the past three years, or that Louisiana was hit by an unprecedented 1-in-1,000 year flooding in 2016 (two at least 1-in-500 year floods, in fact) only to be followed a year later by Hurricane Harvey? Is it possible scientists’ predictions that climate change will cause more frequent, intense extreme weather events could be playing out right now?” You…
